Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Z-WAY (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Z-WAY coaching app, how it's used, and who can see it. Z-WAY is a platform that connects you with your coach — some of what we collect is health- and fitness-related, so we want to be clear and specific about it rather than vague.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider — we never store or see your password in plain text.

Profile information: date of birth, height, weight, bio, and profile photo, if you choose to add them.

Coaching information: your fitness goal, experience level, training availability, equipment access, and anything you write in the injury/physical limitations or other-notes fields. All of this is optional and editable any time in Settings.

Activity and progress data: workouts you complete, exercises logged (weight, reps, sets), body measurements, progress photos you upload, nutrition entries, and the weekly check-ins you submit to your coach.

Communications: messages between you and your coach, and any messages you post in community areas of the app.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid membership, payments are processed by Stripe. We store a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription — never your full card number.

How we use it

We use your information to run the coaching service: building and assigning programs and nutrition plans, tracking your progress, letting you and your coach message each other, sending you notifications about your account and coaching activity, and processing payment for any paid membership.

Who can see your information

Your assigned coach can see your profile, coaching information, workouts, nutrition, progress data, and check-ins — that's how they coach you effectively. A coach's private notes about you are visible only to them; they are never shown to you.

Platform administrators can access account data as needed to operate and support the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share your health or fitness data with anyone outside Z-WAY except the service providers that help us run the app — currently Supabase (hosting and database) and Stripe (payments).

How your data is protected

Data is stored in a Postgres database with row-level security rules that enforce, at the database level, who is allowed to read or write each piece of data — a client can only ever access their own records and the records their coach shares with them, and a coach can only access their own clients' records.

Your choices

The coaching-profile fields (goal, experience, injuries, equipment, notes) are optional — you can leave any of them blank and fill them in or change them later from Settings. You can contact us at hello.zwayfitness@gmail.com to ask what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete your account.

Children's privacy

Z-WAY is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in-app.
